FAQ
\\Can I attend any events without paying for the package?
Yes, we will welcome anyone who would like to join us on Saturday lunch on Saturday or Sunday, both of which are public events that attendees can pay on their own. Please just turn up at the location shown in the itinerary, although not all registered EuroGrom attendees will be at all of these locations and we cannot guarantee you will be able to find the group if you are not officially registered yourself.
\\How can I do EuroGrom on a budget?
First, we have ample volunteer opportunities that can allow you to get some—or even all—of your package discounted. Volunteering is a great way to save money and give back to the event. Second, to keep your overnight costs low, we strongly suggest finding someone to share a room with. Our recommended hotel has double rooms for €80 a night. If you share with a friend, you can stay the whole weekend for only €120. Using those two tactics you can easily get your weekend costs well under €250!
\\Will EuroGrom offer tickets to individual events?
Yes, we will provide a limited number of tickets to individual nights at the EuroGrom Loft. The most cost-effective way to attend EuroGrom is to buy the full weekend package, but for those who can only attend one evening, an individual ticket is the best choice. Those who are attending for the weekend but cannot arrive until after the Welcome Party on Friday or are departing before Sunday night dinner can receive a pro-rated package. Contact us for details.
\\Is EuroGrom making a profit?
No. This event is being organized entirely by community leaders who wanted to bring the large gainer event experience to Europe. None of the organizers are getting paid or will make a profit from the event. Organizers are, in fact, putting both hundreds of hours of their time and thousands of euros of their own money down to organize the event and guarantee venues and food orders. We’ve priced the weekend to ensure that we will break even. Any money collected that is not spent will be rolled over into planning for a future EuroGrom event.
\\What does my registration pay for?
Your registration payment covers an array of services, venue hire and supplies. These include: renting the EuroGrom Loft; food and drink throughout the weekend; catering costs; tour boat hire; transport logistics (getting supplies to venues); event insurance; additional seating hire; volunteer compensation; cleaning services; and registration system fees.
\\How do EuroGrom’s costs compare to those of American events?
We’ve worked hard to price EuroGrom on par with our American counterpart events. Compare EuroGrom 2016 to BRW in Chicago, a similar event held in the U.S. for three years now. Both packages offer similar amenities (BRW offer two additional meals, but EuroGrom offers free alcoholic drinks, which roughly equals out). BRW's package costs roughly US$175. The EuroGrom 2016 package costs roughly US$204. That means EuroGrom 2016 is only 16% more expensive than BRW.
