Want to attend EuroGrom but can’t afford the package? You’re in luck! We’re in the market for volunteers who can help with everything from moving supplies to managing check-in to tending bar.

Our volunteer programme gives you discounts based on how many hours you commit, so you can save €30 or even get your entire EuroGrom package for free! Volunteer work is priced based on a rough assessment of the effort that will be involved, so more difficult tasks get you bigger discounts.

Most volunteer work is social in nature so you won’t be removed from the entire event (there’s no car park duty!) But volunteering will mean missing out on some activities or periods of free time. The minimum contribution required per volunteer is five hours.

Volunteering is a serious commitment. Any volunteers who fail to complete their duties may be asked to leave the event and/or may be banned from future events. Because they will have paid less to attend than others, you will understand why we may have to do this.

The following is a list of the kinds of volunteer help we need and the hourly discount for that help. Volunteers are free to mix and match hours from any group: just tell us how many hours from each group, and on which days, you’d like to volunteer. We will try to accommodate your preferences as far as possible. We may not be able to allocate you as many hours as you’d like (there is a maximum number of volunteer hours per day that we need), but you won’t be allocated more hours than you ask for, nor will we allocate you to tasks in groups or on days you’ve not expressed a preference for.

Please be aware that all volunteer discounts are applied to the Regular Package Price. Please also note that some roles require specialist knowledge or experience (detailed below).

Volunteer A Group (discount of €6 per hour volunteered):

• Shopping helper: Assist in shopping for supplies and/or food

• Registration (Friday only): Help check-in attendees to the Event

• Meal/Drink Assistant: Help set up, serve and clean up meal service

 

Volunteer B Group (discount of €10 per hour volunteered):

• Front-door Monitor: Control access to the Loft by checking badges

• Bar Tending: Mix drinks and manage the bar; bar-tending experience required

• Clean Up: Help clean up the Loft at the end of each night

• Greeter (Friday only): Welcome people at the street level and give orientation

 

Volunteer C Group (discount of €14 per hour volunteered):

• Supply Mover: Help carry food and supplies up to and down from the Loft via the lift

• Bathroom Upkeep: Continually check on bathroom to maintain cleanliness

 

Specialist volunteer roles:

• Boat Tour Guide (Saturday, €15 for 2 hours): Provide commentary on history during Spree boat tour; knowledge of and passion for Berlin history required
